Our clients have ranged from a small manufacturer in Fullerton with one server and three PCs to an aerospace company in Irvine with dozens of servers and over 250 workstations. We're also active in our community, and a member of the Chairman Circle of the Orange Chamber of Commerce.

Our Advanced Systems Division provides network design, configuration and installation, as well as custom-built business-grade Servers, PCs and laptops. We design systems to meet our clients' needs, and offer the highest level of service, including two-factor authentication, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, and more.

Our Advanced Software Division provides a full array of ERP and productivity software, including front office, accounting, inventory, customer relationship management (CRM), manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, electronic data interchange (EDI), manufacturing requirements planning (MRP), business-to-business websites (B2B), business-to-consumer websites (B2C), custom programming, and more.

Our Advanced Products Division includes our patented Clean-Aire Computer Enclosures that protect your systems from the damaging effects of dust and dirt. Our enclosures are in use by the US military, coal mines, cement plants, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and other industries where dust and dirt are an issue. This division also developed our user-friendly DataSave Backup system that assures business continuity when disaster strikes.

Pete Maddox, CEO

After serving six years in the US Army, including a tour in Vietnam, Pete Maddox, CEO of Commerce Technologies LLC, began his career as a Business Development Consultant, developing strategic plans, and handling the start-up and expansion of local, national and international companies.

In the mid 1980’s, Pete was selected to develop strategic plans for American Speedy Printing Services, then the nation’s fastest growing quick print franchise, to expand its operations to California, Japan and Europe. His strategic plans quickly established California as the top sales territory in the US and led to the company's successful expansion to Japan and Europe. Pete then moved on to establish a commuter airline at Orange County Airport and an international shipping company before launching his IT Products and Services Company in 1989. Today, Pete’s client list includes one of his first clients, a company he has served for over 21 years.  He has provided IT products and services to the Chamber of Commerce in Orange for the last 17 years, and the majority of his clients have been with him for an average of 14 years. During this time, he has expanded Commerce Technologies LLC to include custom software development, his patented Clean-Aire Computer Enclosures™, and the User-Friendly DataSave™ Backup program for desktops.

Pete’s approach to his clients is that of a strategic business partner. He views technology as an investment with a quantifiable ROI through increased productivity and efficiency. His dedication to his clients and his practice of always working in their best interest, was featured in Orange County Register Business Columnist Jan Norman’s book, “Marketing Your Own Business” as, “The Very Foundation of Marketing”.

Pete is also an active member of his community, having served on the Board of Trustees for the Rancho Santiago Community College District, and on the Board of Directors for numerous non-profit organizations, including the YMCA of Orange, The Dayle McIntosh Center and the Orange County Community Development Council. A member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce for 17 years, Pete also serves on the Economic Development Committee, a joint committee of the Chamber and the City of Orange, and is a member of the Chamber's Chairman Circle.

Keith Weber, CTO

Keith Weber, CTOKeith Weber brings over 25 years industry experience to Commerce Technologies LLC.  He built the most successful AccountMate dealership in Orange County, dating back to 1987, pre-Windows and pre-Internet.  It was around this time that Keith first worked with Pete, stringing network cables and configuring networks when most SMEs were still using standalone workstations.

Prior to the rise of the Personal Computer, "the PC", Keith worked as a claims analyst for Connecticut General Insurance.  He worked his way up through the Pre-wire, Installation, and Repair departments at Pacific Telephone in the early eighties.  He spent several years as a sales rep for a health foods distributor, developing business ranging from San Diego to Santa Barbara.  Going back to school to master accounting and programming, Keith developed a successful business providing writeup services for Orange County firms.  It was through this that Keith discovered his passion for consulting and programming.

Over the years, Keith has developed hundreds of custom applications and program modifications for clients.  He brings to Commerce Technologies LLC experience in AccountMate ERP, Windows, Linux, Novell, UNIX, scripting, .NET, PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript, Visual FoxPro, MS SQL, MySQL, Crystal Reports, and more.  His installation, training, modification, and support experience include accounting, inventory, MRP, shop floor control, data collection, EDI, business intelligence, distribution, CRM, point of sale, and more.

Keith is Past President of the Orange County Chapter of the Indendent Computer Consultants Association (ICCA).  He holds a BA magna cum laude in Economics and a Master of Science in Information Technology. He tutors for SchoolOnWheels. His LinkedIn profile can be viewed at:


Tim Flathers, VP Advanced Products Division

Tim Flathers, VP Advanced Products Division, brings a lifetime of exceptional business development and sales experience to Commerce Technologies LLC. He began his career with Brunswick Corporation, overseeing the expansion of retail stores in California, guiding California to the top sales territory in the nation.

After leaving Brunswick, Tim started Beach Manufacturing, building custom pool tables in a 1,000 square foot storage garage. Tim was responsible for sales and new product development, and took his company from that garage to a 60,000 square foot facility with 150 employees and sales exceeding $17 million per year. Beach Manufacturing became a leading innovator in the billiards industry and expanded its product line to include game tables, theater seating with adjustable height adjustments, custom in-home bars for Harley Davidson and Budweiser, along with other products for Bass Pro Shops and Cabello’s Sporting Goods. His custom pool tables were often featured as prizes on Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal.

After selling Beach Manufacturing, Tim took some time off to travel and, in 2011, joined Commerce Technologies LLC as VP of our Advanced Products Division. Today, Tim is leading the sales effort for our patented Clean-Aire Computer Enclosures and is developing our newest line of enclosures for use in civilian and military hospitals. Tim's expertise has allowed Commerce Technologies LLC to not only streamline its manufacturing, but to continue to build its products in the USA. This is a critical component of Commerce Technologies LLC's business model and an integral component to our commitment to build the best products in our industry.

Ron Weller, Programmer Analyst

Ron WellerRon began his career in software developing business applications for the HP3000 mini computer. He designed and developed both programs and databases for the HP3000 using HP Business Basic, Pascal, SPL, and the Turbo Image database system. Later he started working with PCs - programming in Microsoft basic professional development system (DOS based), VB DOS, VB3, VB4, VB6, VBA, VB Script, and VB.NET. Ron has worked with Microsoft Office programs, including Access, Excel, and Word. He has developed databases in Access, Oracle, and SQL Server 2005 & 2008. He has experience in HTML with CSS, Java Script, and VB Script and has experimented with assembly language, Turbo Pascal, early versions of Delphi, and C++. Ron has an interest in graphics and animation, has taken classes in 3D Studio Max versions 3 and 4, and has worked with Team 2D, a more traditional animation software package. He has experience with photo editing software such as Paint Shop Pro X4, and design software such as Xara Designer.
